Auto Collision Experts (ACE) believes that Supporting American Heroes IS NO ACCIDENT! At ACE, "We take pride in all we do. We are here for you." That statement couldn't be more true today as ACE launches their End of Summer Donation DRIVE, August 27th through September 25th, to HONOR Returning Colorado Veterans. The campaign will benefit Operation Homefront Rocky Mountains Field Office and Second Chance Veterans Charity and Thrift Store.
As ACE co-owner Steve Price puts it, "It's all about honoring many through the memory of one." For Steve, honoring, in fact celebrating the lives and dedication of Veterans has been and will forever be an everyday affair. For years the Price and Overholt families took great pride listening to and living vicariously through the storied life of one very special family member. Merle Overholt was the patriarch of the Price and Overholt families. A beloved husband, brother and grandfather, Merle was a Veteran of extraordinary circumstances serving from 1942 to 1963 in no less than THREE branches of the United States Armed Forces; Navy (Aviation Machinist Mate E 2nd Class), Air Force (Tech Sargent) and Coast Guard (AD2P). After dedicating much of his life to his country, Merle returned home to Denver and spent the remainder of his life serving his community working for the Denver Public School System teaching Drivers Education.
Merle dedicated his life to serving others. That amazing lesson along with his incredible passion for life served as the genesis for the ACE End of Summer Donation DRIVE to Honor Returning Colorado Veterans and beloved family member Merle Overholt. On July 23rd, Merle was laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery ... his life of service and dedication to country, friends, family and community at an end. Taking a page from Merle's life, Steve, his family and team at Auto Collision Experts, through the profound loss of one very special Veteran, found the inspiration for many and ask Northern Colorado to give so that Merle's memory and that of each Veteran lives on. ACE has created Four Simple Ways for Northern Coloradans to Participate in This Very Worthy Cause.
